ACF Drought and River Basin Dashboard

Over the past two years, the Center facilitated stakeholder input into the design of a new Drought and River Basin Dashboard for the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin (ACF). The Dashboard is a free web-based information portal that provides users with a ‘one stop shop’ for drought-related information for the ACF. The Dashboard was developed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and is now a part of the agency’s Drought.gov website. The Dashboard was developed to support better understanding, decision-making, and communication about drought in the region. In 2020 and 2021, the Center hosted listening sessions and workshops with stakeholders across the ACF region to inform the development of the dashboard by NOAA. The Center also assisted with content development for the Dashboard. The Dashboard reflects collaboration and cooperation to improve water resources management and understanding in the region.
